NEW! - ONE-DAY JAPANESE WOODBLOCK BEGINNER WORKSHOP
Interested in trying Japanese woodblock printing? Jennifer Lim Design offers a hands-on two-day beginner course where you can try the traditional techniques and methods of this intricate art form. Gain an insight into the wonderful world of ‘Ukiyoe’ prints with real-life examples of traditional and contemporary prints.
This water-based technique is non-toxic and participants will learn the process of stencil transfer, block carving, paper preparation and printing. All tools and materials are provided. Participant numbers will be limited to 4 persons. Instructor Jennifer Lim has trained in Kyoto under renowned printmaker Akira Kurosaki.
Participants will be able to take home prints and their carved block to display. Perfect class for making some greeting cards for the festive season!
